HYDRAULIC ANALYSIS AND OPTIMUM DESIGN OF MULTIDIAMETER IRRIGATION LATERALS

A simple, analytical and accurate to use engineering method is developed for direct multidiameter lateral hydraulic computation. Analytical expressions describe pressure head distribution along multidiameter pipelines. It is shown that errors stemming from the conventional assumptions of spatial invariance of outflow and infinity of the number of outlets are minimized when the suggested improved version of the method is used.
