NDMA FORMATION IN WATER AND WASTEWATER

N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) formation. NDMA, a carcinogen compound is found in water at a level close to 0.7 ng/L. The production mechanisms are investigated. Chloramination and ion exchange resins seem to be the main reasons for the formation of this organic. Free chlorine and ozone do not form NDMA in water or wastewater.
