AL-NOZAILY F. / ALAERTS G. / VEENSTRA S. - ARTICLE DE PERIODIQUE - 2000
Urban wastewater treatments by plants in constructed wetlands. A laboratory pilot unit was planted with three common Appalachian plant species. The reduction results were found about 70 % for suspended solids, 70 % for BOD, 50 - 60 % for total kjeldhal ammonia and phosphate and 3 orders of magnitudes for fecal coliforms. Vegetation species mixtures improve water quality.
