Contribution de la télédétection au développement des ressources marines. L’application de SPOT à la cartographie thématique du littoral

This paper calls back the needs of cartography of the interface between lands and sea and assesses the characteristics of this interface in terms of knowledge as spatial and temporal constraints. After a brief typology of the different thematic cartographies of coasts and their applications we develop the contribution of the digital high resolution satellite image and we lean on an example (inventory of aquaculture sites in inter-tropical zone) which meets the three basic needs of localization, quantification and economic planning.
